It is meticulously crafted in Sabae, a region renowned for its eyewear production, where different artisans specialize in each stage of the process—cutting, shaping, and polishing.
Just as Ukiyo-e is created through the collective skills of multiple artisans, this piece embodies a 'Fusion of Mastery,' bringing together the expertise of many to create a singular work of art.
Beveled Design
The outer edge of the frame is cut with a special beveled design that expresses the characteristic lines of Ukiyo-e.
Acetate Sheet Construction
The frames are made of acetate sheets that express the impressive colors of Ukiyo-e.
Spring Hinge
By using a spring hinge with an integrated center core, we're able to achieve a beautiful appearance while still ensuring the frames are comfortable.
